The Senior Friendship Group

is held on the third Monday of each month between 2pm and 4pm in The Old Fire Station Woburn Sands.
It’s a cosy location to enjoy company, cake and a cuppa. We meet up for a friendly chat and play games such as scrabble and cards.
There is no set charge but we do ask for a small contribution towards our costs.

Transport Services

Helping Hands Woburn Sands provides transport for local people with limited mobility to appointments at hospitals, surgeries, dentists, chiropodists, hairdressers, seniors’ social groups, etc.

Our clients have a variety of different needs, and we like to be aware of these so that our volunteers can respond suitably.  We therefore try to visit new clients in their homes so that we can record basic information about their needs, and we will arrange a convenient time for this when you first call us. 

Our drivers are all volunteers who are DBS checked.  They are unpaid, but we charge clients a fee to cover the costs of fuel, etc.  For example, the fee for a return trip to Milton Keynes University Hospital is £6.50.
